If Saints failed to take all three points, they would not have won a league game at all in August, and would have at most 3 points to Clyde's minimum 8. Therefore, victory is absolutely vital.
The good news is that Mark Crilly has shaken off the dead leg he sustained in Tuesday nights game against Raith Rovers. However, Kevin McGowne will miss out with broken ribs. This means a possible back three of Mark Dempsie, Gus MacPherson and Laurie Ellis, with Kirk Broadfoot sitting in defensive midfield. However, Saints boss John Coughlin may make the strange decision of continuing with a back four, which isn't working, meaning David van Zanten would start and either Broadfoot or Dempsie would drop to the bench. Kevin Twaddle is set for his first Saints start at Love Street, whilst some bloke called Barry Lavety has recovered from injury and should feature on the bench.
Clyde also have a few injury problems, and vital players such as player manager Alan Kernaghan, and the massive striker that is Paddy Keogh will miss out. Both of these absentees are great news for Saints, as Kernaghan is influential at the back, whilst Keogh would have proven a handful for the defence. Other absentees could include striker Stephen McConalogue and also Andy Millen.
As i said, a victory is vital tomorrow, and with Basher finally in a competitive squad, the scene is set for him to complete the fairytale in a Mark Yardley style, by coming off the bench and scoring a last minute winner. I predict a 1-0 victory for Saints.
