Goodwin has impressed many people with his leadership skills since he arrived from Hamilton and has been captain for most of our friendlies. Clearly, in that time he has done enough to convince manager Danny Lennon to give him the role on a permanent basis.
By coincidence, Goodwin will be wearing number six - the same number previous captain Potter wore during his time with the club.
