Aber was much loved during his time at Love Street for his hardman image and once managed to get himself sent off three times in one game - a world record at the time. That looked like being the end of his time with the club, but just months later he was enjoying the glory of Hampden. After leaving the club his life seemed to take a drink-induced nosedive, but over the last few years he has turned things around.
"Aber's Gonnae Get Ye" was written by Billy with Fraser Kirkwood (Big Fras from the Black and White Army forum) and features a foreward from Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson, who first tried out the hairdryer treatment on Aber. There are also contributions from the likes of Steve Clark, Tony Fitzpatrick, Frank McAvennie and many, many more.
The book is aailable from Provan Sports from Tuesday and is priced at £9.99. To order an advance copy, go to http://www.stmirrendirect.co.uk/acatalog/DVDS_BOOKS.html
