Saints boss Gus MacPherson said in December that he wanted to bring in two midfielders in January, and now he's got one of them. There is some confusion over where Anderson can play, with left wing, right wing and through the middle all being suggested. After a bit more research, it seems he can play in the middle and on the right, which is quite good as we have a lot of left sided players.
Anderson could make his debut tomorrow against Motherwell, with the injured Hugh Murray making way for him.
Interestingly, whilst both the BBC website and radio stations have reported the move, there's nothing yet form the club. Could this mean another signing to come later today? Perhaps, as this morning Gillingham goalkeeper Tony Bullock has been linked with a move to Saints.
Sadly, it looks like the club's attempts to sign Ross County midfielder John Rankin have been in vain. County have rejected Saints offer and want a significantly improved one, whilst there is talk he could, ironically, soon be signed by tomorrow's opponents Motherwell.
