It now appears that he will go into hospital in a few weeks to have a pin inserted into his ankle. I'd assume this is something to do with the problems in his foot, however not knowing much medical stuff it could be something completely different.
Annand broke his foot originally when playing for Saints in the summer as a trialist. He'd scored in the game, against Gretna, and was signed on a two year deal. When he'd recovered he didn't have much of a chance to gain match fitness before breaking his foot again, just after John Coughlin was removed from the managers job. He has yet to score in a competitive game for Saints.
Mirren Mad would like to wish Eddie a speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, Saints youngster David Martin is the only SFL player to be called up to the Scotland under 17 squad, despite never having played for the Saints first team. Elsewhere, former Saints boss Tom Hendrie is hoping to keep former Saints defender Scott Walker (who we almost signed in September) at Alloa when his contract expires in a few days.
