In November, Saints won the League Challenge Cup against Hamilton, and now have another chance to add a trophy to the cabinet. The final is a repeat of the one two years ago that took place at Love Street, with the visiting Saints winning 3-1. This year's final is also supposed to take place at Love Street and will be played sometime before the end of April.
Last night's game saw Saints come from a goal behind to win 2-1, thanks to goals from John Baird and Robbie Weir. First teamers Chris Smith, Andy Millen and Brian McGinty all played as a youthful side took revenge for Hamilton's league win on Saturday.
Saints could book their spot in a third final on Tuesday when they face Viewfield Rovers in the semi final of the Renfrewshire Cup at Love Street.
