Reports from those who were there suggest he looked lively and played a part in creating the goal he himself scored. However, it was only a 20 minute sub appearance and it's likely Saints boss Gus MacPherson will want to see more of him before making a decision.
A quick look at Wikipedia doesn't exactly reveal a stunning scoring record with various lower league clubs in England, although apparently Saints were also interested in the player in January.
New signing Franco Miranda also played in the reserve game, while there are mixed reports on the performance of trialist Joe O'Cearuill.
