Holden is the brother of Bolton midfielder and American international Stuart. Both were born in Aberdeen but moved to the States at a young age. Euan, who is 22, has had a pretty mixed career so far. He failed to make it in the MLS in America and was most recently with Vejle in Denmark. However, injuries hampered his time there and he is currently a free agent.
Holden can play on the left side of defence and that side of the park is where Lennon seems most desperate to improve. Former Grimsby winger Nick Hegarty is still on trial while he still hasn't given up hope of bringing Alan Gow to the club, although the former Rangers and Falkirk forward is close to signing for Swindon.
If Gow doesn't sign, Lennon has a few other prospects in mind who are currently with clubs, so it could be a semi-interesting transfer deadline day for a change.
