Baggies want Billy

The striker's five goal haul against East Stirlingshire on Sunday seems to have boosted his profile across the UK in the last few days, with a number of sides in England and Scotland (and possibly on the continent) reportedly keen to sign him up.

Today's BBC gossip column suggests one of the sides is West Brom, who are one of the favourites to win the Championship this season. The source of the rumour is the Daily Star, which is surprisingly quite reliable when it comes to Saints and rumours about potential comings and goings.

Despite the supposed interest in Billy, Saints boss Gus MacPherson revealed at a fans question and answer session last night that there had been no contact from any club about the former West Ham United youngster.
