It now seems that Money, who was the goalie when Barry was with Saints for the first time, wants to add him to the growing number of former Saints at Somerset Park. Barry's title winning team mates Barry McLaughlin and Ludovic Roy are already there, whilst another former team mate of Barry's, Norrie McWhirter, is the Ayr assistant. Former Saints goalkeeper John Hillcoat is also still there, whilst former trialist Dougie Ramsay signed for Ayr last summer. In addition, other former Saints Chris Kerr and Lee Hardy have already come and gone.
Whether Basher would be able to cut it at second division level is unknown. Someone did post on Mirren Mad's message board a few weeks back that Basher had agreed to go to Ayr, so perhaps there is a bit of truth in it.
