Birchall is a Buddie

Birchall - the first white person to play for T & T in over 60 years - was a star at last year's World Cup. He had been at Port Vale until then, but was signed by City last summer. However, he has fallen out of the picture since the arrival of Iain Dowie earlier this year.

The deal will see Birchall at Love Street until January at least, and could be extended or even turn into a permanent deal. Video clips suggest he is a right footed Charlie Adam - exactly what we need!

Birchall has been given number 46, suggesting there may be more signings today. Lee Miller won't be one. Mirren Mad will, of course, keep you posted!
