Bone has been out of work since being fired from the same position at Ross County a few months ago. He'll link up with former Dunfermline and Brechin boss Dick Campbell, who was today appointed Partick's new manager. It's a pairing that haven't worked together before, but could be an interesting partnership. As well as playing for Saints, BOne also played for Partick Thistle and helped them to beat Celtic in the league cup final in the 1970s.
Meanwhile, former Saint Ian Ross was released by Partick Thistle just before Christmas and has yet to find a new club. The midfielder has been linked with moves to Ayr United and Stirling Albion, but at present he is still clubless.
