Lennon has already told four players - Chris Innes, Stephen O'Donnell, Jack Ross and Tom Brighton - they won't be staying, while it looks like Allan Johnston is retiring and Andy Dorman is choosing to leave. That just leaves the futures of Robb and Brady to be decided, and it's fair to say the news they are being offered new contracts has raised a few eyebrows.
Like Brighton, Robb has been injured a lot since he signed for us in 2008. Towards the end of last season he was coming on to a game and seemed to be avoiding injuries, and there's no question that when he's fit he's a good player. However, he's injury prone and we can't really take a risk with players like that.
The decision to bid to keep Brady is even more baffling. While he has the odd good game and produces some nice touches, it is obvious he is just not fit enough for the SPL and he's lucky to last an hour. He has absolutely no pace, although does seem to be able to beat players - only to be caught up by said player without the guy breaking sweat! Hopefully if he stays, he can get his fitness sorted out.
Meanwhile, Innes has apparently been offered a three year deal by Ross County while Lee Mair, one of the two centre halves we have left, could miss pre-season training due to a hernia.
