Brady has played in the Premiership for both Spurs and Newcastle, and spent three years in the SPL with Dundee before they were relegated last summer.
He can play anywhere in midfield, but it is expected that he will fill in the holding midfield role that Andy Millen and Mark Reilly have played in over the past two years.
Brady is somewhere between 29 and 31 years old (there are varying dates of birth!) so still has a good few years left in him yet. He has agreed to sign a two year contract at Love Street.
Saints boss Gus MacPherson revealed that Brady will not be the last signing over the summer, with at least another three arrivals expected before the season begins.
