At half time it was suggested by a few fans that Broadfoot was left out for disciplinary issues. MacPherson said after the match that he wanted to field a team that he felt would win the game, and leaving Broadfoot out of the side was one of the easiest decisions he's had to make in his managerial career. He also pointed out that Broadfoot was not injured.
It was rumoured last night that there had been a fall out, although there were also rumours that Broadfoot had simply been dropped due to poor form. However, according to Scotsport's David McKinney today, there was a bust up during the week and it is up to Broadfoot to apologise, otherwise he won't be back in the team unless we get really desperate.
Considering Saints have a cup final next week, Broadfoot should do the sensible thing and apologise as it would be a bit silly to miss a cup final for a silly thing like that.
It should, of course, be pointed out that David McKinney's track record for exclusives is awful. Let's hope this is just one of those occasions and Kirk is back in the team next week.
