There has been much speculation over the future of Broadfoot during the past few weeks, with newspaper reports linking him to both halves of the Old Firm as well as various English clubs. However, after yesterday's match with Kilmarnock Saints manager Gus MacPherson confirmed that there has been contact from Rangers boss Walter Smith about the player.
Whilst negotiations are believed to be at an early stage, there's very little chance that Broadfoot will be playing anywhere other than Ibrox next season. He's a lifelong Rangers fan, and even if he was offered a pay cut to move there (not likely) he'd probably accept.
