Broadfoot Is Young Player Of The Month!

Kirk has put in some fine displays over the last few weeks, and has also shown some silky footwork. A few weeks ago he managed a double in Saints 2-0 win over Ayr United. The award is not just for the first division, but for all three divisions in the SFL, so this is an impressive achievment.

Kirk arrived at Love Street from Hibs at the start of last season and was used as a defender, but has been put into midfield this season. His contract expires at the end of the season and most Saints fans are hoping he will receive an extension very soon.

By my reckoning, Kirk is the first Saints employee to lift such an award since Tom Hendrie and Stephen McPhee took the SPL Manager and YOung player of the month awards in April 2001.
