Celtic 1-0 Saints

I'll be honest I feared for us in this one. We managed to mess things up against Hearts at Tynecastle on Wednesday and were up against a team that has been rattling goals in while conceding none at the other end. Indeed, they put four past us a month ago at home, so goodness knows what they would do to us on our own patch. Thankfully, that didn't happen and we almost ended up with a point.

There were two changes to our team with Josh Magennis making his debut and Gregg Wylde coming in, Adam Campbell only on the bench and Paul McGowan nowhere to be seen. On the plus side, Kenny McLean was back on the bench after a lengthy spell out through injury.

We got off to the worst possible start when Kris Commons scored after five minutes and the home fans no doubt expected that to be the opening of the floodgates. However, that didn't happen - thanks to poor finishing and good goalkeeping and defending.

We had a few chances ourselves in the second half, Steven Thompson being crowded out as he tried to pull the trigger while Magennis was denied a debut goal as he shot straight at Forster.

Like Wednesday night it's another defeat, but this seems a rather more positive loss than the one at Tynecastle.
