With the aformenetioned trio looking set to reject the contracts, this means we may end up keeping more of the current squad, or signing even more new players in the summer. The players who haven't been offered new contracts yet still have a chance to prove their worth over the remaining gaames.
Anyway, the other three players to have been offered contracts are Brian McGinty, who will have an operation on his knee soon, Simon Lappin and Paul McHale. McHale is out of contract at Rangers, who he is on loan from, in the summer, and Saints boss John Coughlin has previously said he'd like to build next seasons team around him.
The only players who I definitely know of being contracted for next season are Mark Dempsie, Scott McLean, Billy Bald, Ricky Robb and Kirk Broadfoot.Ii think a few of the younger players, such as Jamie Dunbar and Neil McGinn have deals for next season. The players being offered new deals may be a surprise, as Mark Roberts hasn't done badly since his arrival, and the departure of players such as Hugh Murray wasn't expected. However, they can still prove in the remainder of the season they are worth a contract.
