Coughlin Denies Lehmann Link

Lehmann was released by Motherwell at the end of the season. As well as being a striker, he had played in defence for Hibs as well. Coughlin claims the main stumbiling point is Lehmann would want too much money. He now looks set to sign for Welsh side Swansea City, who play in the English third division.

I'm interested to know where these rumours came from. Usually when a paper prints a denial a Saints fan somewhere has told someone before it appeared in the paper, and it's found it's way onto the web. What's probably happened here is the newspapers have picked a player and club at random, asked the manager of that club to deny they were interested in the player and filled an inch or so. We are in the close season after all.
