Crighton joins Montrose

Many Saints fans were surprised when Crighton was let go in the summer as he seemed to be pretty highly rated. He'd won a "rising star" award for his performances in the SPL's under-19 league and had made it it onto the bench for the first team on a few occasions, although he failed to make his debut. He'd also looked half decent for the reserves.

At the end of the season he was too old for another year in the under-19s so had to be offered a professional contract or be let go. Sadly, he was let go and it wasn't much of a shock that he ended up signing for Montrose permanently.
