As I mentioned in my match report yesterday, Saints will face Clyde at Broadwood in the next round of the Bell's Cup. This is the tie of the round but also sees Saints play at a ground where they have never won. Last season Saints went out of the Scottish Cup thanks to a 1-0 defeat at Broadwood. Hopefully this can be avoided this time around. The tie takes place this coming Tuesday, the 13th August, with the kick off scheduled for 7.30pm. Be warned, there may be extra time and penalties.
The CIS League Cup draw also sees Saints featured in the tie of the round, as they face a trip to Cappielow to take on local rivals Greenock Morton. This is the first competitive match between the two sides since March 2000, although there have been various friendly fixtures. Morton lead the count on these 2-1, with one draw. This tie is set to take place on either the 10th or 11th of September, and again be set for extra time and penalties.
