Despite being fully fit, Wyness hasn't featured for the first team this year, perhaps showing just how far out of the picture he is at the moment. After signing from Inverness Caley Thistle last summer he was pretty unimpressive, scoring just a few goals all season.
Queens are in short supply of strikers, with former Saint Stewart Kean injured and David Weatherston picking up a knock in Wednesday's cup defeat to Rangers. SFL sides can make emergency loan signings, even when there isn't an emergency, and Denzil should help solve their problems. He has a good footballing brain but he isn't up to the physical demands of the SPL. A drop down to the first division should suit him well. Interestingly, Wyness was linked with a move to Palmerston in the summer in a deal that would have seen Bob Harris come to Paisley, although this was just a made-up story.
Denzil's departure leaves Billy Mehmet, Craig Dargo, Michael Higdon and Tom Brighton as the available strikers at St. Mirren Park, along with youngsters Sean Burns and Paul Quinn.
