Saints messageboards have been buzzing over the last few weeks, discussing how much we should be looking for if a club bids for Dorman. Now we know - the manager wants at least a million quid if one of the many clubs rumoured to be chasing the former New England Revolution man makes a move.
MacPherson is quoted as saying: "If you judge him by players who have moved in recent seasons, he has to be worth around seven figures and I think that's what the club would be looking at, although that's not my decision, it's for the directors."
Quite right Gus - we are in no need to sell a player who has a year left on his contract and we certainly won't sell him on the cheap to one of the Old Firm.
The current record transfer Saints have received was when Ian Ferguson was sold to Rangers for £850,000 more than 20 years ago.
