Lappin was sold to Norwich six years ago this month, having come through the Saints youth system to establish himself in the side. He scored in the 2005 Challenge Cup success over Hamilton and was a key part of that season's side that also won the first division.
The midfielder had a successful time at Norwich, helping them to two successive promotions. Game time was limited when they made the Premiership and after an unsuccessful loan spell at Cardiff he has now been let go to find a new club.
Corcoran also featured during the 2005/06 season and chipped in with a few goals but is most remembered for his dazzling display against Motherwell in the Scottish Cup. On his day he was a terrific player but it didn't come often enough - which seems to have been his problem at both Hamilton and Ross County, who have now let him go.
I wouldn't be bothered about taking him back at Saints bit if we fail to land Paul Dummett I'd be more than happy to see Lappin fill that slot. He does look likely to return to Scotland but it probably won't be to us, with Hibs among the clubs reportedly interested in signing him.
