The Official Site reported the news today and it would seem obvious to anyone that Dow is currently Hendrie's first choice to replace Hugh Murray.
Despite only being 29, Dow has been around various clubs. From what I have found on The Official Site and Soccerbase (someone should tell the latter it's called football), I have discovered he has played for, at some stage, and in no particular order, the following clubs: Chelsea, Bradford, Motherwell, Aberdeen, Hibs and Sporting 85.
Hendrie's attentions have probably turned to Dow since Eddie Forest, who was reportedly training with Saints, is about to sign part-time for Berwick Rangers.
ALso in pre season training with Saints is Liam Keogh, who played about 15 minutes against Raith Rovers before picking up an injury. He'll be given a chance to show what he can do over the close season.
