Duo Join Saints For Training

Both are on the look out for new clubs, with Brittain rejecting a new contract after Livingston were relegated. However, as he is under 24, a fee would be required. Burke is available for nothing and has been linked with a return to Queen of the South.

There were rumours linking Brittain with a move to Saints a few months back and his appearance at training only strengthens them. It seems that he is on trial with Saints boss Gus MacPherson keen to sign him, although the problem of a transfer fee could rule out a move for Livvy's captain.

The chances of Burke signing are even slimmer. Whilst MacPherson was interested in signing the forward a year ago, the move fell through and he stayed with Dingwall. It seems that he is only training with Saints as he knows MacPherson from the pair's time together at Kilmarnock, whilst Saints are the closest team to his home.

Saints head out to Austria this weekend to continue their preparations at a training camp next week.
