This is the second time that the Scottish Executive has done this, the first being at the start of July. Initially they had twenty eight days to decide whether to call an enquiry or rubber stamp the applications, then asked for another lot and now another lot. Makes a mockery of the twenty eight day rule in my opinion, but there you go.
Apparently the delays are simply down to the fact they haven't got round to looking at the plans yet, whether that be down to backlog (due to too many twenty eight day extensions perhaps?), holidays or other things is unknown.
The Excecutive now has until August 26th to make a decision. Hopefully by then they will have made up their minds and won't need any more time.
