The 59-year-old - who I seem to remember went to the last ever match at Love Street - made his debut for Saints in 1970. A few years later he moved on to join Leeds, who were one of the forces of English football at the time, before moving to fierce rivals Manchester United in 1978. He also managed 30 caps for Scotland, scoring against England at Wembley.
Sadly, he has recently made the news for non-footballing reasons due to being diagnosed with cancer and all at Mirren Mad hopes he wins his fight.
