Saints have struggled to score in their two home games so far this season, though we did somehow manage to score twice away to Dundee. This is mainly down to the fact that we only have one fully fit striker at present in the shape of Stewart Kean, as Billy Mehmet is still trying to build up fitness after the mumps. Brian McGinty is fit but he doesn't count.
No doubt we'll know over the next few days what's happening with this week's trialist. A new striker and a creative midfielder are vital if we want to do well this season, so let's hope this Frenchman is the business.
