A contract has been on the table for van Zanten since October but he has never signed it and will almost certainly be on his way after the season finishes. Hibs, Swansea and a number of League One clubs have all been linked with him the past, but it seems Aberdeen may be the favourites to land his signature. As they've lost both Michael Hart and Jackie McNamara in recent months, it's a move that probably makes sense for both parties.
Saints are one of four clubs supposedly after Dundee leftback Dixon, who has apparently played his last game for the club. Dundee United, Kilmarnock and St Johnstone are also after him, with United the favourites as the look to tempt another Dundee player across the road to Tannadice. Interesting to note that Dundee's other leftback is none other than former Buddie Eddie Malone - who is probably just as good.
Another Dundee player supposedly wanted by Saints - and other clubs - is defender Milan Palenik, who has turned down a new contract at Dens Park.
