News of the club's interest in Gallacher broke yesterday, with St. Johnstone also supposedly interested in him. A few papers say we have won the race and will shortly buy the Pars keeper, with one going as far as saying manager Gus MacPherson has convinced the board to meet the former Scotland international's personal terms. If true, this would be a decent signing.
The Higdon deal was first mooted by a reliable source on a messageboard a few weeks ago who was under the impression he would sign that day, although later revised that to say he'd sign after he returned from his honeymoon. More rumours - including one in The Sun - say we are poised to complete a deal for the striker shortly, adding some much needed physical presence (but not much in the way of goals) to our front line.
Gallacher would be a good signing but I remain unconvinced about Higdon, especially if he turns out to be our only attacking signing of the summer.
