Gretna Administration Means Saints Almost Safe

To be honest, most folk probably assumed we were already safe, but this news just about confirms it. Gretna will be 21 points behind us with just 30 games left and will probably have to make the chase without a number of players, who are likely to be sacked in the next few days. If tomorrow night's game goes ahead, there is even the possibility Gretna could be officially down at the weekend.

Rumours persist that if Gretna go bust before the end of the season then the 11th placed side will go down. However, the SPL's rules clearly state that if a club goes into liquidation during a season, the relegation places will be reduced accordingly.
