Any move is dependent on Saints staying up (and I'd imagine Falkirk going down). Higdon is a big, thuggish striker while Lovell has reached double figures after joining the Bairns from Aberdeen in the summer. The pair both have modest goal tallies but nothing special.
Chances are the pair would replace Jim Hamilton and Craig Dargo in the summer, who are both out of contract. Higdon seems like a slightly more expensive and better version of Hamilton (target man thug), while Lovell is a slightly better and more expensive version of Dargo (decent striker but often injured).
Hardly the most inspiring pair to be linked with. Hopefully we have better potential striking options up our sleeve.
