Earlier we reported that manager Danny Lennon had made an offer to either Haddad or Chris Doig, who have been training with the club for the last week. The offer had been accepted and paperwork needed to be completed. While there has been no official confirmation from the club, Hasselbaink's Twitter account seems reasonably reliable!
Haddad, who has Dutch/Moroccan duel nationality, started his career at AZ Alkmaar and spent last season on loan at Telstar. He s a former team-mate of Jeroen Tesselaar at both clubs, which is probably how he ended up coming here on trial.
Haddad is naturally a centre-half but can play in midfield too and has been capped by Holland at under-19 level. There's no news yet on how long he has signed for, although Lennon hinted earlier that it's a short term deal.
