Hendrie Resigns! Or Does He?

Gilmour said on Wednesday that they had received from Tom Hendrie's lawyers a letter saying he wished to terminate his contract and resign, as of effect the 13th of September (when he was given leave of his duties). Gilmour is sticking by this and says, despite what Hendrie claims, that Hendrie's lawyers have made a big mistake and no compensation deal is needed to be done.

Hendrie, however, claims the letter stated the club had terminated the contract, and said if this was not the case then he was Mrs. Hendrie and not Mr Hendrie! Nice use of language Tom, but I wonder if Mrs. Hendrie was unavailable for comment at the time! If what Hendrie says is true, it is constructive dismissal and he can claim some cash.

This looks like one saga that is set to run and run, with both parties not budging. Hopefully his lawyers did accidentally resign him and the club can save some money.
