My name is Davie Smith and I run the Five Arches pub in
Dumfries. Recently I have been emailing all the supporters clubs which are
coming to Dumfries for a Queens match. I have been offering my pub as a
stop off point before and after the match, and offer free soup and
sandwiches to any buses that come. A couple of weeks ago, we had a bus
load of Aberdeen fans here for the 3rd round Scottish cup match. The pub
is just a couple of mins from the ground, and is large enough to hold 100
people. We have Sky tv, a pool table, darts area and a kitchen should any
of your supporters be hungry. The car park is also able to hold a couple
of coaches.
I am writing to you to ask if you would like to come to The Five Arches
before and after the game on Saturday 13th of March for some good food,
great beer and Dumfries banter!! Again, the offer of free soup and
sandwiches applies.
