Shuggy damaged the ligaments in his knee in Monday's defeat to Hamilton while making an early tackle. Ironically, his five minute appearance saw him break Tony Fitzpatrick's Saints appearance record, and it's possible he may not get to add further to the tally.
Shuggy, who has been at the club all his career, is out of contract in the next few weeks. Manager Danny Lennon tried to move him to Dunfermline in the summer and he may decide not offer him a new deal due to his injury.
