The midfielder made his debut for the first team as a sub in a game against Celtic at Parkhead last August before making a further sub appearance against St Johnstone in the final game of the season.
Despite signing a new contract that will tie him at the club for the foreseeable future, the number of midfielders in Danny Lennon's squad mean first team opportunities will be limited, so loaning him out makes sense. In recent years Jon McShane and Kenny McLean have benefited from spells at lower league clubs so hopefully Jamie will too.
