Jenkins, who followed Danny Lennon from Cowdenbeath to Paisley in 2010 before leaving his post a a year later, is the seventh and final performance director to be appointed. The idea is they will work at the SFA's regional performance schools which have been set up across Scotland in a bid to boost the development of youngsters.
Jenkins was highly thought of by many during his time with the club and his departure always seemed a bit mysterious so it's good to see him get a new job. He isn't the only former Buddie to be involved in the scheme either as Ian Ross - a member of the Millenium Champions side - joined up some time ago.
