He had recently fallen out of favour at Somserset, and despite Ayr boss Campbell Money denying Kerr could go, he has now left and joined another ex Saint, Mark Yardley, at Albion Rovers.
Kerr made his Saints debut in 1998, playing most of the 98-99 season. He only played a few games in the title season, as he was injured in a shocking challenge by Inverness Caley's Ross Tokley after only a few matches. Pre injury he'd been reasonable, post injury he was rubbish and not many were sorry to see him leave in the summer of 2003.
Meanwhile, one time Saints goalie Tony Mitchell has signed up with Arbroath until the end of the season, whilst Pollock's Paul McNeil, apparently a recent target for Saints, Hamilton and Stranraer, could be out for over three months.
