Saints fans have been calling for Kirk to be called in for most of the season, reasining that if the unimpressive Simon Lappin can get in, why can't Kirk, especially when Partick Thistle's useless Andy Dow often gets in (and still is in!).
Broadfoot is one of three new faces in the squad, along with Hearts' Christophe Berra (a slightly more Scottish name than Dario Franchitti) and Sunderland's Neil Collins. If Kirk get's a game he will make his Scotland debut against Italy. Doesn't come much harder than that.
This caps (hoho) what has been a fantastic season for the big defender, who's mad charges forward have been a joy to watch.
Well done Kirk!
