Lappin Gets Capped

Lappin is already 22 so his call up to the squad this time after someone else withdrew was a bit of a surprise. Seems there is some ruling about players being able to finish a qualifying campaign if they are under 21 when they start it. Lappin will be 23 by the time of the next round of qualifiers and will therefore be too old. Kirk Broadfoot will also be over 21 by then, so it is hard to see where Saints next international will come from.

Lappin came on at half time last night, although I've no idea how he played!
