Many team, including our own, have their own "Hall of Fame" schemes so they can honour players who have made a considerable contribution to their club's history. In Partick Thistle's case, Lennon certainly fits that bill.
Lennon, a midfielder in his playing days, joined Thistle late in 1999 when they were in the second division. The following season he captained them to the second division title by a considerable margin. Incredibly, he then captained them to the first division title the following year, ironically clinching the championship against Saints at Love Street. The Jags stayed in the SPL the following season before being relegated in 2004, although Lennon had moved on to Gretna by then.
Lennon won't be the only person with a Saints connection to be inducted on November 18. Chic Charnley had two red card filled spells at Love Street but had no less than four separate stints at Partick Thistle, becoming a cult hero.
