The three players he is believed to be looking at are Morton's Michael Tidser and Livingston pair Marc McNulty and Stefan Scougall.
At 23, former Celtic youngster Tidser is the oldest of the trio. The midfielder, who had a year in Sweden after leaving Parkhead, has hit 11 goals this season as Morton challenged for promotion to the SPL. That sort of return from the middle of the park is pretty handy, but Tidser has another year on his contract and Morton are unlikely to sell him - especially to us!
McNulty has also scored 11 goals from midfield this season and is highly rated, having been on trial at Derby and been linked with a move to Sheffield United. Fellow 20-year-old Scougall, who was at Hibs and Dunfermline earlier in his career, has scored six goals and is almost certainly a no go since he's contracted until 2016!
Lennon has had mixed results in signing players from the SFL. Darren McGregor had a fine first season before horrendous injury problems in the last two years, while goalie Craig Samson also came from the SFL and has been a fine signing. However, Jon Robertson has only shown flashes of brilliance since signing from Cowdenbeath, Gareth Wardlaw worked hard but missed chances and Sean Lynch and Paul McQuade just weren't good enough.
Speaking of Cowdenbeath, they are set to ask for the loan of young Buddie Jason Naismith to be extended. He has made six appearances for the Blue Brazil and they're keen for the deal to be made longer incase they are involved in the first division relegation play-offs.
