MacPherson Confirmed As New Boss

It's been rumoured all week in the papers and on the radio, and is now official. After winning 2 and drawing 1 since becoming caretaker boss, Gus MacPherson has replaced John Coughlin as the Saints boss.

It's the second time in a row Saints have promoted the assistant, and it's the second time in a row the assistant is untried. This time we have a player manager, as Gus will soon be back playing.

Here's hoping that, unlike the last appointment, this one works.
