Six clubs have all claimed to be interested in McNamee, plus Livingston themselves. Considering Hearts and Rangers are amongst the six, I think they can kiss any chance of that happening good bye.
The other four clubs are Brighton, Derby, Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday. By an amazing coincidence, all six clubs chasing his signature are managed by Scots....
McNamee left Love Street with Burton O'Brien in the summer of 1999 for English side Blackburn Rovers. However, they failed to make a single league appearance between them during their years there, and returned to Scotland with Livingston in 2001.
Since then, McNamee has picked up a Scotland cap and O'Brien is set to play for South Africa. There was interest in both during the January transfer window, but it now looks as if both are waiting until the summer before even signing a pre contract agreement.
