The 23-year-old was nominated for the player of the year award in the second division last season, and was runner-up in the third division equivalent the year before that. In the last two years, which has seen Cowdenbeath win back-to-back promotions, the former Dundonald Bluebell man has hit a total of 28 goals. It's not bad going, but it's a huge jump from the second and third division to the SPL.
The striker would probably be a pretty cheap acquisition, but we'd need at least another front man to make up for the loss of Billy Mehmet.
Other Cowdenbeath players we have been linked with include Joe Mbu, who won't be coming as he's under contract, and Darren McGregor, who is also available on a free. Former assistant Iain Jenkins has also been linked with a move to be reunited with Lennon, but that's yet to be confirmed by the club.
