Mooy has had a lot of trouble with injuries since arriving in Paisley in October 2010, a back injury ruling him out of the first half of last season. When he has had a run in the team - rather than the odd late substitue appearance - there have been flashes of brilliance, including a fine goal in the win over Rangers on Christmas Eve. He is also highly rated by the Australian national side and has represented them at just about every level apart from the first team.
Mooy has a contract for another year but it seems West Sydney are keen to sign him up. There are reports that he has agreed to join the A League club but only if he manages to get himself out of his Saints contract.
