The Paisley Daily Express today reports that Heath is just one of a number of trialists who will be at Love Street over the summer as Saints boss Gus MacPherson looks to finalise his squad for next season. There are no clues as to who the players are, however they obviously aren't proven at this level, or not enough is known about them, or else Gus would have signed them up right away.
It was mentioned last week that Saints were one of a number of clubs chasing transfer listed Partick Thistle player Jamie Mitchell. This seems to have been a bit wide of the mark as MacPherson claims the player was merely one of many recommended to Saints.
Yesterday there was also news about Mixu Paatelainen possibly leaving for Partick. The big striker is out of contract and free to go anywhere, though MacPherson wants to keep him at Saints if he can prove his fitness. It seems that he has had some offers from Scottish clubs other than Partick and Saints, and also offers from abrorad, with supposed interest from Northern Irish side Linfield. It seems that the Finn is a wanted man and if Saints don't act quickly he may well be moving on.
